Hi, I’m Jilsa, a lawyer and artist based in Bangalore, India. I’ve been passionate about art since childhood, but my passion turned into my biggest dream during my law school days. Most of my paintings are inspired by the nature around me or the emotions I experience. Art has guided me through many ups and downs. Yes, law and art don’t usually go hand in hand, but I held on tightly to my passion. Now, you can experience my creativity through original paintings, art prints, sketchbooks, postcards, and stickers. Bringing Arts Komorebi to life as a brand was once my highest dream, and I’m thrilled it’s finally happening. Arts Komorebi
My passion turned into a dream that got its name established five years ago. I come across nature and emotions that inspire me to create new pieces daily. One such inspiration was the sunrays filtering through the canopies, a phenomenon called komorebi. I wished for my art to filter into the viewer’s mind, hence the name Arts Komorebi. All the artworks I create can now be a part of your life in different forms. I assure you that all artworks are hand-painted and created with quality and value to make them part of your life. All hand-painted artworks are digitized and designed into the line of other art products that I offer.

History
Being a lawyer myself, maintaining a thriving passion for art alongside my legal career was a challenging job. Everybody had questions for me, like “How am I going to manage both, and how sure am I about it?” Throughout my career, I was never ready to leave art behind because I always wanted my paintings to reach people and create an impact in their lives. When I started painting, the only thing that kept me creating more and more pieces was the calmness the process held. Although I have a decade of experience, the name “Arts Komorebi” was established six years ago. The word “komorebi” is a Japanese word that means sunlight filtering through leaves, which gave me the insight that I need my art to filter into the viewer’s mind. And hence the name.
